The wine is never treated in any way and is used straight from the glass in most cases. If I find a red that works particularly well I keep it in various tubs, some of which I expose to the sun to allow the water to evaporate. I've boiled it too to enrich the pigmency of the wine, but I have noticed that there can be a problem with drying time with boil-enriched wine and so have considered adding ingredients to speed this process. But I am loathe to do this and will probably not add anything because these are not finished paintings, the wine is used as a sketching medium. Any further definition of depth or colour will be added in a new layer of actual 'real' paint.
On occasion I use other media such as oil paint in new layers over the wine. However additional media only follow after the wine has fully dried, I do not mix them. Thank you for your comment.

Shame the listing ended :( love your idea and paintings.
this is so beautiful!
Do you really use pure wine or does it have any treatment to become ink?
