Finally...

I completed a drawing this morning of a young woman that has taken many tedious weeks. Now I can finally move to the next stage and begin painting it in wine. This picture will be painted over several pieces of paper (see previous post) and will stand about 2 and half metres in height. It is itself a test for a larger oil painting. If the picture works I'll move on to a much larger scale.

Last week I contacted someone who can provide the space I need to paint to the scale I intend (...and received a very favourable reaction to my proposal), once my wine picture is completed I will use it as an example of what I intend, like a plan. If everything goes well I hope to also film the final painting and edit it to show 4 or so weeks of work in one minute, start to finish.

All of this work is to raise funds for my Brass Neck sculpture. Scroll down to read all of my previous posts on this subject. Anyone interested in buying sketches in support of this project can contact me here.
